Log Two: Whanau Day (Athletics)

Log Two:

I demonstrated Social responsibility during our Whanau day yesterday, there were a lot of different activities. The activity I really enjoyed was Tug of war, only because our Whanau really worked as a team. Winter really had a good solution For example: She would call "Ana" and our team will call "Hiii"(they would pull at the same time)but because Winter was at the back no one in front could hear her. Since I was in front where none of us could hear her, I helped her call it. This had a good impact on us because we all learnt how to work together as a team and communicate with others.

Another activity I enjoyed was the 100m sprints, only because one of our team mates were jogging, slowly giving up so what our Whanau did was run with them to give them more courage to keep going. For example: One of the girls were jogging and our team mates noticed her slowly giving up, so we all planned to jog with her and sing our chant at the same time. It helped her build her confidence and she picked up her speed, we all finished as a team. This had a positive impact on us because we made sure she didn't feel alone during the 100m sprints. This is a example of me showing level 4 social responsibility.

Log One: Modified Touch

Log One:

During our game of Modified touch, I demonstrated Social responsibility by taking charge of my team when they didn't know who to mark or what to do. I did this by matching up their own abilities with our opponents, I made sure that their abilities matched perfectly with the opponents For example: I asked David if he would be alright marking the fastest person on the opponents team, only because he was the fastest on our team. I also asked my team mates if they were alright with the people they were marking and they all agreed. Now it was game plan time, I communicated with my team mates to create a game plan. Me and David had the same game plan For example: If we were attacking I told my team mates to drag their player out while the rest of the team find open space, but if we were offense we would play man on man. We did lose our first game but it had a good impact on my team because we learnt from our mistakes. Every time we would lose our team would build more confidence in themselves and they would always learn from their own mistakes. This is an example of me at level 4 social responsibility.
