Log Five: Soccer game against Pukekohe

We had a soccer game yesterday against Pukekohe High school and during that game, I demonstrated Social responsibility by giving a high level of self-direction, communicates and I was honest with the rules. I showed these social responsibilities on the field, How? well by communicating with the girls, Every time the goalie from Pukekohe would kick the ball down the field, I could tell where she would kick the ball and I would yell at the girls to move towards that area and mark a person For example If the goalie would aim the ball towards her left side she would actually kick the ball with her right leg, Then I would quickly warn the girls and before then she kicks the ball, it's coming towards us. I told the girls as soon as they receive the ball to just kick the ball down the field towards our goal, which gave Wendy the opportunity to kick the ball into the goal. Also towards the ending of the first half of the game, Pukekohe girls kicked the ball to my hand so I raised my hand to the ref and told him that I handed the ball, he said "Thank you for the honesty because if it wasn't for your honesty I wouldn't have known" then I walked off and marked a person.

Then it came to the last half of the game, all the girls were tired including me which I know was a good thing because we all worked hard. So I brought the girls in for their last call just to help them keep their heads in the game and tell them that the games not over yet until the last hooter goes off. It was Pukekohe's kick off and they were taking their time so I yelled to the girls to move to them just to pressure them and it worked, me and Maddy had a little talk before the ball came towards us and Maddy was advising me to run down the field and receive the ball from the bottom of the field so I did. Maddy ended up kicking the ball towards me, and I managed to see a gap and kicked the ball in that gap which was in the middle of the goal post then Lexi ran towards the ball and kicked it into the goal. Working as a team and cooperating with each other is useful in games or situation like this because when you cooperate with each other you can hear their point of views and compare it to your point of view. This had a positive impact on my team because we ended up winning in the end and we ended up creating a great bond with the ref and also between ourselves. This is an example of me showing level 4 social responsibility.
